Custom Fashion Illustrations for Inclusive Underwear Brand

Client: University Fashion Student (2022)
Project Type: Freelance Illustration | Business Plan Support
Industry: Fashion | Inclusive Design

In 2022, I was commissioned by a university fashion student to create a series of custom digital illustrations as part of her final business plan project. The concept centered around launching an underwear brand that matches the skin tone of the wearer, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and body positivity in the fashion industry.

The project was significant—not only for her academic success but also for its real-world impact. The business plan was approved by fashion week organisers, validating the concept as both relevant and visionary.

I illustrated a range of diverse body types and skin tones, each styled in tone-matching underwear to visually communicate the brand’s mission. The illustrations were minimal yet expressive, crafted in Adobe Illustrator to ensure clean, modern lines and consistency across all visuals. Each figure was faceless by design to keep the focus on form, skin tone, and representation, avoiding distraction from the message of inclusivity.

This project was a powerful reminder of how design can support important social messages while contributing to a polished, professional fashion presentation.

Client Review:

“Working with Sofia was an amazing experience, she helped me a lot throughout my final university project and made a massive impact on the final product. She is very attentive to the details and is eager to deliver a great and qualitative product. She took all my requests into consideration and was doublechecking with me throughout as well as keeping me updated with the process. I would definitely recommend Sofia as a graphic designer.”
